Local Programs

ASF local programs are informal member gatherings that help ASF members connect with and learn from other small-staff philanthropists in their communities. Local programs take place across the country and cover a wide range of topics. Some local programs are general networking opportunities without a topic — just a chance for small-staff philanthropists to network and share best practices. Most local programs have no registration fee.

2013 Local Engagement Pilot Program

This year ASF rolled out a pilot program for local member engagement in five diverse communities across the country. The pilot program is driven by a Local Engagement Group (LEG) in each community to help ASF members connect with and learn from other local small-staff philanthropists. All five pilots will run through the end of 2013 and will give ASF a focused sample of local engagement upon which we can reflect, improve, and expand for 2014 and beyond. Each pilot LEG is coordinated by ASF member volunteers fulfilling the role of LEG coordinators.
