Strategic Plan
ASF has built a powerful home for philanthropy during our less-than-20-year history. To ensure continued success, we are developing a strategic plan that sets direction, sharpens focus, and guides the allocation of future resources of time, money, and leadership.
The project is committed to continually engaging members (and others!) to help us answer our burning questions.
- At the 2011 Fall Seminars, attendees of ASF’s Annual Meeting weighed in on some key questions, and identified additional questions we should be asking ourselves.
- Through a team of consultants, we conducted more than 35 interviews with current and former members, supporters of ASF, and other key stakeholders.
- ASF members also had the opportunity to complete a quick survey, asking them what they value most in membership associations, and what one improvement they’d like ASF to explore.
- Nearly 500 members responded to a survey in early March of 2012, providing a valuable pulse of the membership on the ideas beginning to emerge from the Planning Committee.
- These ideas were also vetted in three focus group conference calls in early March.
All of this information is being distilled and shared with the Planning Committee when it convenes in late March for its Development session (see Project Map for explanation of the session stages).
